So..... its been a month and a half and I have lost 18 pounds! Wahoo!!! I am trying really hard to not have this be just a diet that I will go off of once the competition is over, but to change my habits. So far, so good. I have been working out on my elliptical and I love it. This week has been a little rough but I hope to get myself going!
Valentine's Day came and went, and we had a good one. Jason gave me a red plush "Angry Bird" which is silly, but totally fits me. I love love love that game. Its totally addicting and I have 3 stars on most of the levels. I pretty much rock at it :). He also gave me some beautiful flowers. Good job, Hayes!
My nephew Ben got home from his mission on Wednesday. He was in Guadalaja, Mexico. Hearing him talk about his mission makes me nostalgic for my own. I sure am glad I was able to have the mission experience. He looks great and we are happy to have him home.
I think this year is going to be the year of the family weddings. My neice Erin is getting married in April, Jason's brother is getting married in September and we have two others that will probably happen this year. Whew! Good thing weddings are fun!
We may have the chance to visit London this year, and I hope we do. I am trying to not get too excited about it so that I am not too disappointed if we don't go. I absolutely adore traveling and would love to make it there.
I also got a calling to be in the nursery. :) I guess it happens to everyone sooner or later. I actually like it quite a bit. It is fun to be with the kids. Jason doesn't have the calling but comes in with me most of the time to assist. Its really cute to see him interact with the kids. I miss going to regular church every now and then, but mostly I just enjoy playing with the kids.
Otherwise, life is pretty much the same. Hope all is going well for all of you!

Weight Loss Challenge 2011
As with the rest of the world, I have decided it is time to do something about my weight. As I watch it get a little more and more it has to come to a stop. I got an elliptical for Christmas and am geared up to start using it. We are doing a weight loss competition at work. We each picked teams and weigh in as teams and get weekly prizes if you have the highest percent of weight loss. It's been fun to have the friendly competition at work. Everyone is watching you which makes it easier to be good. Anyway, today was week 1 weigh in. Since I am home sick I had to weigh in at home, but thanks to strep and a little hard work, I have lost 13 pounds in this first week!!!!!! YAHOO!!! I am just hoping I don't gain any weight this next week and can still lose some. Here is for hoping, and in case you wondered, I love competition. BRING IT ON!!! :)

STREP SUCKS!
I think that pretty much sums it up. I have been diagnosed with the awesome plague of strep throat. Ugh. The only good news is that you can take antibiotics and get better. I am on day 2 of antibiotics and am bored of being home. I don't feel great so I don't feel like cleaning or anything, I just feel like whining. I can go back to work tomorrow as I am no longer contagious. It's been nice to take a break from work. Work has been absolutely insane. But anyway, I feel like I am finally on the mend. My tonsils don't feel like grapefruits anymore so thats good. :) To all of you who are wondering, STREP SUCKS!

Changes...or not
It seems like most of the people around me are having big fun changes in their lives. Part of me sure is jealous! A nephew left on a mission, niece started college, friend moved to Seattle area, several new babies, friend got a new job, and the list goes on and on. Life sure has a way of changing things doesn't it? I am jonesin for something new in my own life, but I guess instead of whining about what hasn't changed I should appreciate where I have been and enjoy life as it is! What does one do when they are feeling like they are in a funk and that they have had nothing new in a long time? Maybe going to Vegas and seeing Blue Man Group might help?? :) We are going next weekend and I am excited. I need a little break from work and some time to enjoy some time uninterrupted with Jason. As for other new things in life I will think on it....there's gotta be something new I can do!!!

Golden Birthday... and other Misc.
I decided to upload my pictures from my camera and ran into a couple of things that I meant to write blog posts about..... well here I am :
Last, it is my birthday today :) Hoorah! Jason totally out did himself and bought me 29 roses for my Golden Birthday... 29 on the 29th. Isn't that the cutest thing? He also bought me tickets to go see Blue Man Group in Vegas, so I am really excited for that. We went to Texas Roadhouse and had ourselves a great time. I love Birthdays :)

One Favorite Thing
One of my favorite things in life? Old friends. Not to be confused with friends that are old (cause we are NOT old!), I mean good ol friends. You know the people who you adore but don't see or talk to much? Even though time goes by, when you do get together again its like you never skipped a beat. I just adore it. I love "old" friends. I had dinner tonight with two of those old friends and I had a blast. What do people do in life without fun friends that know your roots and history? Thanks for organizing the event ladies, I love you! Thanks to all of you that I consider my friends, young, old, been around for decades and new ones. You are all the best. Love and more Love!
